The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew
BOTANICAL ARTS OF FLOWERS
Queen Charlotte and the Enlightenment
Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, known as Kew Gardens, is one of the biggest gardens in the world and is home to a collection of over 200,000 botanical arts. The garden was greatly expanded from 18th - early 19th centuries, during the reigns of King George III and Queen Charlotte.
At this time, the development of natural science was accompanied by a great flowering of botanical art. The public was fascinated by a variety of flowers collected from all over the world.

This exhibition traces the history of botanical paintings, with a focus on the valuable collection from Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. The exhibition also features Wedgwood's Queen's Ware, which was discovered by Queen Charlotte.
