Kisling, Grande figure de l’Ecole de Paris
Kisling (1891-1953) was born in Krakow, Poland in 1891. He moved to Paris in 1910 at the age of 19 years old. He met many artists in Paris such as Juan Gris, Picasso, Soutine, and Modigliani. Then his famous atelier became the meeting place of many artists. He is one of the most famous painters of the Ecole de Paris and was called “The prince of Montparnasse”.
The most of works in this exhibition are oil paintings and the works were collected from museums and private lenders in France, Switzerland, U.S.A., Israel, Singapore and Japan.
